Tuesday 21 July saw more than 70 leading figures of Jersey’s business community gather at the Societe Jersiaise to celebrate the first birthday of local private equity fund administration firm IPES (Jersey) Limited.
The champagne and conversation flowed as guests, who included lawyers, accountants, bankers and regulators associated with the Island’s investment fund industry, discussed the market and took in the colourful setting.
Ipes was represented by staff from both its Jersey and Guernsey offices including Managing Director of the Jersey office Andrew Mason, Group Chief Executive Kevin Brennan, Commercial Director Julie Jones and recently appointed CFO Gavin Hayman.
The Ipes Group was established Guernsey in 1998 and also has an office in London. It opened its Esplanade based Jersey office in January last year in order to extend its integrated, multi–jurisdictional client offering and establish a pan–island capability.
With Andrew Mason (who has 23 years industry experience) at the helm, the IPES Jersey office has quickly developed local and international business relationships and a solid client base. This has helped it to achieve substantial growth in a short time, despite the global economic turmoil. Indeed, due to its continued success, Ipes Jersey is currently recruiting for local talent to grow its 20 strong team further.
Andrew Mason said: “The party was a great way to say thank you to everyone that helped us to make this a very special and successful first year. We have an incredibly energetic team here that is committed to offering a leading service, and we are looking forward to building on the strong growth we have achieved to date.”
