Michel Davy - Managing Director, Guernsey
Michel is Ipes Guernsey’s Managing Director and is responsible for the overall management and development of the Guernsey operation.
Michel has more than 15 years financial services experience and the last eight have been spent at Ipes. His experience includes working with various Private Equity sponsored funds, including Buy-Out, Venture Capital and Mezzanine structures. Michel supports the Company’s Commercial strategy and undertakes a Client Relationship Management role for Guernsey clients, he is also a member of the Guernsey Investment Fund Association's Executive Committee (GIFA).
Michel trained with Ernst & Young Guernsey and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) in 2000. At Ernst & Young, Michel’s main focus was the audit and supervision of various closed ended and open ended investment funds.

Sharon Alvarez - Director, Guernsey
Sharon is a Director of Ipes having joined the Company in June 2005.
Sharon is a Director of Ipes and joined the Company in June 2005; she also acts as a director on a number of general partner boards with a broad client base from the UK and Europe. In addition to her client responsibilities Sharon is responsible for technical and corporate governance matters with a focus on compliance with new regulation and legislation.
Previous to Ipes Sharon held a management position in Private Equity with Northern Trust. Sharon is both a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and an Associate of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). She has more than 25 years experience in the finance industry with 15 years spent at manager level. During her time in Private Equity Sharon has gained extensive working knowledge on a number of different fund structures across several jurisdictions.

Karen Haith - Operations Director, Ipes Guernsey
Karen is the Operations Director of Ipes Guernsey having joined the Company in 2001.
Karen has worked in the offshore finance industry in Guernsey for 17 years. Her extensive experience includes all aspects of administration of varying types of private equity funds but with a particular focus on fund of funds. She is responsible for all the administration teams in the Guernsey office and is also very involved with professional training and training support. Karen’s previous experience includes working in trust and company administration and then as a fund accountant for an international bank.
Karen is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”) and was for the three years to June 2009 President of the ACCA Channel Islands Panel and now sits on the Executive Committee of the Guernsey Society of Chartered and Certified Accountants. In addition she is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators (“ICSA”).

Tim Andrews - Director of Development, Guernsey
Tim is the Director of Development for the Ipes group.
He joined the firm in 2007 as Head of Development and Technology with a mandate to differentiate Ipes through the use of technology. Tim was subsequently promoted to his current role and appointed to the Guernsey Board in November 2011 in recognition of the central role technology plays in Ipes’ continued growth and development.
Tim has led an extensive development programme to provide enterprise class infrastructure and unique software such as our SWIFT-enabled Banking platform. The launch of CapitalTracker sees the culmination of this work in a bespoke client-facing web application.
Prior to joining Ipes Tim spent three years at Mourant (now part of State Street) where he was responsible for the selection and implementation of their global accounting system. During this time, he qualified as a PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Tim qualified as an FCMA in 2005, whilst working for a leading confectioner as a Financial Analyst. He gained an MA (Oxon) in Economics and Management in 2001.
