Ipes' Management team is strengthened by four senior appointments

Jersey based Fund Administrator scoops another top award whilst continuing its expansion in the island.

Ipes has been named Investment Funds Advisory Firm of the Year in the Channel Islands at the Corporate INTL Global Awards 2010. The industry award is the third for the Company within the last six months.The awards recognise excellence across in the world’s leading advisers and financiers in an array of countries and continents globally. Category winners were selected from a short list of up to six firms by a panel of industry experts.

The panel, which included the senior partner of a Global Law Firm and the senior partner of an international accountancy practice described Ipes as “the clear and deserved winner of this prestigious award”.

In particular, they noted that “Ipes has shown not only superb growth, they have met the constant challenge in their industry head on and in many ways lead by example. It has been particularly refreshing to see this despite numerous changes within their business over the past couple of years; they haven’t taken their eyes off the ball.”

The successful development of Ipesquo&rs; business in Jersey formed a part of the firm’s submission for the award. Indeed, as it approaches its third full year of operation in the island, Ipes Jersey has continued to grow winning several new mandates in the past year, including the administration of an AIM Listed Real Estate Fund and 12 limited partnerships investing in well established private equity funds with a geographical focus of Asia and Europe.

Over the course of 2010, it has also strengthened its management and client facing teams with four senior level appointments, most recently, Charlotte Le Cornu as Client Director.

Charlotte is a qualified accountant with a strong background in the funds industry. During her 13 year career in the Island’s finance industry she has managed teams responsible for the administration and accounting needs for a varied portfolio of private equity funds.

Ipes Jersey Director Kenneth Whitney says, “Attracting someone of Charlotte’s calibre is good news for the business and will be hugely beneficial both to our team and our clients. Charlotte joins us as the operation in Jersey really gains critical mass and builds its profile as an administrator of choice on the Island - something this latest award further underpins.”

Following her appointment Charlotte says, “I wanted to work for a dynamic, service-led organisation and that’s what attracted me to Ipes. It’s great to join Ipes Jersey at it continues to expand in a role where I will be working closely with a diverse and growing client base.”

Ipes was founded in 1998 in Guernsey and opened its Esplanade based Jersey office in 2008. Today it employs more that 120 staff across offices in Jersey, Guernsey, London and Luxembourg and has upwards of $37bn assets under administration. Following a Management Buyout in 2008, Ipes has continued to win new business despite the economic downturn.
