With a population of more than 90,000, Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands and a well established international finance centre for banking, trust and funds business.

The Island has been a prominent player in fund services since 1960. In June 2011, the net asset value of funds under administration was more than £194bn.

Jersey offers a high degree of flexibility in terms of fund structures making the jurisdiction attractive to both fund managers and investors. The introduction of Unregulated Funds in 2008, to expedite the process associated with the establishment of fund vehicles for fund promoters, has further added to its appeal as a domicile for alternative investment funds.
