Training and Development
In order to equip our people to meet increasingly complex client requirements and to support their career progression we invest heavily in training and development. This can consist of the following:
Formal professional qualifications
This is something we actively encourage and more than 80% of our people are qualified in or working towards a professional qualification. In addition to financial support we offer study and exam leave to assist with the learning process. On the operational side of the business we support qualifications including ACCA, CIMA, IDFA and ICSA. Individuals in our group functions are also undertaking relevant qualifications in areas including IT, Marketing and Human Resources. Ipes is an ACCA platinum level approved employer.
On the job and soft skills training
We provide a combination of in-house and external workshops and seminars covering technical aspects of the job as well as softer skills such as client relationship management , networking and management training. All our people have clearly defined job descriptions supported by SMART objectives to support their ongoing development.
On joining the business, all new recruits are allocated a ‘buddy’ to provide them with a point of contact other than their manager and their immediate team with whom they can discuss how they are settling in and raise any questions or concerns they may have.
Dedicated training team
Our comprehensive training programme is underpinned by dedicated group training team which provides a central point of contact for all training needs. They also support individuals and managers in identifying gaps in their own, or their team’s, skills base and find appropriate training solutions to address these.
